BOO at the Zoo

I took the kids to BOO at the Zoo this year. It was so much fun, we walked around the entire Zoo and got candy. They thought it was pretty fun.

First Day of School

Here are some pic's from the first day of School. Meladi is in 6th grade this year. Ben just realized the other day that she will be in Junior High next year, I don't think he is ready for his little girl to grow up.

Oakley is in 1st Grade and is thrilled to be going to school all day so he can eat lunch at school. He is so smart and his teacher just adores him. He just started reading the 1st Harry Potter book.

Zakary was thrilled to start preschool this year. He was proud to have his own school and his own friends.

Our trip to the Golden Spike in Northern Utah. Being there made us all think of Grandpa-Great. It was bittersweet, because I know he would have loved to have been there with us. A Ranger at the monument asked us if we had any questions about the Jupiter and the 119, I told her I already knew a lot becuse my Grandpa had taught me so much about trains. I told her he was even buried with the 2 trains. You should have seen her face. Then I told her he was buried with miniature replicas he built.

BBQ in the Mountains

The weather has been so great this year, we decided to take a drive up the mountains and have a BBQ.

Dixie Jam

Meladi competes at Dixie Jam down in St. George every April. She did so good. Every time I watch her dance I tear up a little.
